Design Lead: Sprout Studio

Engagement: JOC Consulting

Robin Wiles Park (RWP) was a large under-utilised green open space adjacent to Ropes Creek corridor in the Western Sydney suburb of North St Marys.

Sprout Studio, working with JOC Consulting, the local community and Penrith City Council developed a landscape master plan and later detailed design documentation enabling construction. The design addresses the needs and aspirations of the local community, an achievement arising out of an extensive, inclusive design process involving local residents, the local high school students and Council’s dedicated Cultural Engagement Team.

The team aspired to capitalise on this opportunity to enhance the cultural and environmental performance of RWP to re-launch the space as a valuable asset, providing far reaching environmental and social benefits for local residents and the wider community.

Stage 1 works were officially opened by Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler and Ms Prue Car MP in November 2019.
